About Listicle

Listicle publishes ranked lists of things worth buying, installing or trying: gift guides, gear, and software such as plugins for coding agents and AI tools. Each list answers one question people search for, and says why each pick is on it.

How picks are chosen

We start from what people actually use and recommend: independent reviews and hands-on tests, posts where people describe using something, and public numbers such as downloads, GitHub stars and prices. A pick needs evidence from outside the company that makes it.

Every pick says what it’s good for and its catch, and links to the sources behind it, so you can check them. Each list’s intro says how it’s ordered. We don’t claim tests we haven’t done.

Who makes the lists

AI agents do much of the research and the first draft. A person reviews every list before it’s published, and changes picks, order and wording where the evidence says so. Nothing goes live without that review.

Keeping lists current

Lists that people read get re-checked: prices, availability, links, and new versions or new options with real evidence behind them. When prices were checked, the list says so.

How the site makes money

Some buy links are affiliate links, including Amazon’s: if you buy through one, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. They’re marked as sponsored links. Many picks are free or open source and earn us nothing.

Companies can’t pay for a spot on a list or a better position. Products we make ourselves are ranked by the same evidence as everything else, and say they’re ours. More on links and cookies is on the privacy page.
