Best GEO Tools (2026)
The best GEO tools track how often ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google's AI answers mention your brand. This list rests on hands-on tests by Zapier, agency teams and named SEO practitioners, not on vendors ranking themselves.
Peec AI
The tracker that keeps winning head-to-head agency tests. MRS Digital ran it against Otterly and Ahrefs Brand Radar and picked it for digging deeper into the data, and Metehan Yesilyurt hands it to most agencies first because every plan has unlimited seats. The catch is engine coverage: self-serve plans track three models of your choice, and Zapier's Maddy Osman found trend data lacking.
- Price
- Starter $95/mo, Pro $245/mo, Advanced $495/mo, Enterprise custom
- Free plan
- No free plan; free trial

OtterlyAI
The cheapest way into a real dashboard, and the one Zapier's Maddy Osman picks for affordability. The Lite plan tracks 15 prompts a day across ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity and Copilot. It tells you where you stand and not much about what to do next: Lucie Bernaerts of AISOS, after a month on three client accounts, called its recommendations generic. Gemini, Google AI Mode and Claude are paid add-ons.
- Price
- Lite $29/mo, Standard $189/mo, Premium $489/mo
- Free plan
- No free plan; free trial for new users
- AI engines tracked
- ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity, Copilot; 3 more as add-ons

Ahrefs Brand Radar
The natural pick if you already pay for Ahrefs, say both Zapier and Metehan Yesilyurt. It works two ways: an index of 476 million search-backed prompts that shows any brand's AI visibility with no setup, and custom prompts you define, a few of which now come free with paid Ahrefs plans. Nebo's reviewers note it counts mentions whether or not they are relevant, and Yesilyurt finds it light on step-by-step fixes.
- Price
- Custom prompts from $50/mo; AI Visibility Index $199/mo
- Free plan
- 5 daily custom prompts included with paid Ahrefs Lite and above
- AI engines tracked
- AI Overviews, AI Mode, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Copilot; Claude on prompts

Profound
The enterprise standard. Michael King of iPullRank told Search Engine Land it has the strongest reporting, and AISOS found a level of per-page detail it saw nowhere else. Older guides quote $99 and $399 plans; the pricing page now lists only a free seven-day trial and a custom Enterprise plan, so expect a sales call. Rampiq's Liudmila Kiseleva calls it overkill for most agencies and smaller brands.
- Price
- Custom pricing (Enterprise); free 7-day trial
- Free plan
- Trial: 50 prompts run daily for 7 days, prompts not customizable
- AI engines tracked
- Up to 9 on Enterprise; ChatGPT, Gemini, AI Overviews on trial

- 50 on trial; tailored plan on Enterprise
- Best for
- Global enterprises and Fortune 500 brands

Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit
For teams that already live in Semrush. Zapier's Maddy Osman likes that a visibility gap leads straight into Semrush's content, backlink and audit tools. Rampiq found the opposite problem in daily use: the AI module does not sit neatly with the core SEO data, so you jump between reports. It is priced per domain and per extra user, there is no free trial, and Adobe bought Semrush in April 2026.
- Price
- $99/mo per domain; in Semrush One bundles from $199/mo
- Free plan
- No free trial for the toolkit
- AI engines tracked
- ChatGPT, Google AI, Gemini and Perplexity
- Prompts included
- 25 tracked prompts; 50 more for $60/mo
- Best for
- Existing Semrush users

Gumshoe
Gumshoe asks a different question: not whether AI mentions you, but for which buyer. It runs every prompt as a persona with a role and goals, then shows where one type of buyer hears about you and another does not. Lari Numminen of Generate More found setup took about three minutes. Pricing is per project, which is simple for one brand and adds up for agencies, and Nebo notes it has no traffic attribution.
ZipTie
A tracker for people who want to dig into the detail. Zapier's Maddy Osman picks it for deep analysis and URL-level filtering, and Nena Jasar, who ran the trial on her own site, says it gave her more depth than anything else she had tried. It moved from ziptie.dev to ziptie.ai and from fixed tiers to pay-per-check pricing, so older guides quote the wrong prices. Each extra engine multiplies the bill.
- Price
- Usage-based; Starter preset from $42.75/mo; $0.01 per check
- Free plan
- 7-day trial, 25 daily prompts, no card required
- AI engines tracked
- 7: ChatGPT, AI Overviews, AI Mode, Perplexity, Copilot, Bing AI, Gemini
- Prompts included
- Pay per prompt and engine; no fixed allowance
- Best for
- Deep analysis and reporting

Scrunch
Rampiq, an agency that kept it on client accounts for months, rates its Sources report the most useful output: a list of the publications AI already leans on for your topic, ready to hand to PR. It also watches AI crawlers hit your pages. Metehan Yesilyurt finds the recommendations thin. Sitecore bought Scrunch in June 2026, and the $250 Core plan covers four engines; the other five need Enterprise.
- Price
- Core $250/mo; Enterprise custom
- Free plan
- No free plan; 7-day free trial on Core
- AI engines tracked
- Core: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AIO, Copilot; 9 on Enterprise
- Prompts included

- Best for
- B2B and mid-market teams with a monthly GEO routine
- Maker
- Scrunch, owned by Sitecore since June 2026
AthenaHQ
The one to try if you want a free look before paying. Its Essential plan gives 300 credits, one per AI answer, and Nena Jasar got real prompt-level numbers for her own site from it. Daniel Shashko of Organikpi rates the onboarding the cleanest he tested. After the free credits there is nothing between zero and $295 a month, credits drain quickly, and Metehan Yesilyurt says its content advice still needs review.
- Price
- Starter $295/mo; Enterprise custom
- Free plan
- Essential: free, 300 credits
- AI engines tracked
- ChatGPT, Perplexity, AI Overviews, AI Mode, Gemini, Claude, Copilot, Grok

- 3,600 credits a month on Starter; 1 credit = 1 AI response
- Best for
- Agencies pitching new clients

SE Visible
SE Ranking's standalone AI tracker, and Metehan Yesilyurt's budget pick for agencies with several brands. The entry plan covers 200 prompts, three projects and all five engines, where rivals at this price ration engines or prompts. Shashank Dubey notes it collects answers through a real browser session. It does not track Claude or Copilot, and Yesilyurt expects agencies working across many regions to outgrow it.
- Price
- Basic $99/mo, Core $189/mo, Plus $355/mo
- Free plan
- No free plan; 10-day free trial
- AI engines tracked
- ChatGPT, Gemini, AI Mode, Perplexity, AI Overview

Rankscale
Rankscale sells credits, not prompt slots: each engine query costs a fraction of a credit, and you choose which of its many engines to spend them on. Anurag Pathak, who signed up for five trackers, found it had the widest engine list for the lowest entry price. Metehan Yesilyurt uses it for white-label client reports but warns that prompt entry is mostly manual and the interface is technical.

- Pro $99/mo, Pro+ $229/mo, Growth $385/mo; Essentials is yearly only

How to choose
For a solo site, start with OtterlyAI at $29 a month, or AthenaHQ's free credits for a one-off look. A small team or agency should try Peec AI first: every plan has unlimited seats, and it won the head-to-head tests. If you already pay for Ahrefs or Semrush, use their add-on before buying anything new. Enterprises with a budget and an analyst go to Profound, which now sells only custom plans.
Read the plan, not the headline price. Cheap tiers often track three or four engines and charge extra for Gemini, Claude or Google AI Mode. Prompts, credits and checks are different units, so compare what a month of your own questions would cost. This market also changes hands fast: Adobe bought Semrush, Sitecore bought Scrunch, and Hall closed to new sign-ups after Tracksuit bought it.
Treat every score as an estimate. No AI engine gives these tools a data feed; they sample answers, and a SparkToro study found less than a 1 in 100 chance that the same prompt returns the same list of brands twice. Watch your trend over weeks, spot-check a few prompts by hand, and expect different tools to disagree. None of them writes the fix for you.
The list is ordered by how many independent testers recommend each tool, then by price, lowest first.

Claude Code Plugins (2026): What Developers Install
The best Claude Code plugins, picked from the setups developers publish after pruning their own installs and from Hacker News threads where people say what they kept, not from install counts alone. A plugin is a bundle. One install can carry skills, slash commands, subagents, hooks and MCP servers. A skill is a single instruction file Claude loads when it judges it relevant, and an MCP server is a connection to an outside tool, so a plugin can contain both. Type /plugin inside Claude Code to browse Anthropic's official marketplace, which is connected from the start, or run /plugin install name@claude-plugins-official. For anything else, add the maker's marketplace first with /plugin marketplace add owner/repo. If you install one thing, make it Superpowers, plus the LSP plugin for your language. Add Security Guidance if you ship code you don't read line by line, Plannotator if you want to mark up plans in a browser, and Claude HUD to see how full the context is. Every enabled plugin adds to the context on every turn, and several of the writers quoted here deleted more than they kept. Plugins run code on your machine with your permissions, and community marketplaces are not reviewed, so read what a plugin will install before you say yes. Two names trip people up. Claude Code has a built-in review command alongside the Code Review plugin. And Anthropic keeps a second, smaller marketplace in the anthropics/claude-code repo, where the loop plugin still goes by ralph-wiggum and not ralph-loop. The list is ordered by how many independent people recommend each plugin, then by installs and GitHub stars. Prices checked October 11, 2026.
Best Wispr Flow Alternatives (2026)
The best Wispr Flow alternatives: dictation apps that type into any app, for people leaving over price, cloud processing or platforms, picked from tests by 9to5Mac, ZDNet, Zapier and others. Leaving over price? Handy and FluidVoice are free, Chirp is $9.99 a year, VoiceInk is $25 once for a Mac, and Aqua Voice Pro is $8 a month billed yearly against Wispr Flow's $12. For privacy, Superwhisper, Handy, FluidVoice, VoiceInk, Spokenly and Chirp can transcribe without your audio leaving the computer, while Aqua and Typeless are cloud services like Wispr. On Linux, try Handy, Spokenly or Typeless. On Android, Typeless or Superwhisper. Accuracy depends on the model as much as the app: in Voice-list's test, Superwhisper's own models ranged from 1.6% to 22.8% of words wrong, so try another model before giving up on an app. Free tiers differ too. Aqua's is 1,000 words in total, Willow's free plan uses a lighter model, and Superwhisper's never runs out. Ordered by wins in named tests and how many independent reviewers recommend each app, then by how well it fixes the usual reasons for leaving Wispr Flow (price, privacy, platforms), then by price. Disclosure: Chirp is made by the team behind Listicle. We placed it ourselves, as the budget pick, and no independent reviewer has tested it yet. Everything else follows the order above. Best Clipboard Managers for Windows (2026)
The best clipboard managers for Windows 10 and 11, for anyone who has outgrown Win+V, ranked on hands-on tests by MakeUseOf, XDA, How-To Geek and others. Ordered by test wins and how many independent reviewers recommend each app, then by price, with Windows' own clipboard history included as the baseline. Pasta has no independent reviews yet, so it ranks below the apps that do. Win+V keeps 25 items and forgets them on restart unless you pin them. Ditto fixes both for free and won head-to-head tests at MakeUseOf and XDA. For more, CopyQ adds tabs and scripting, ClipClip adds an editor and OCR, and Pasteboard is the simplest modern-looking choice. Already using Raycast as a launcher? Its clipboard history is free and searchable. Most picks are free at home but not at work: ClipClip charges $49 for commercial use, ClipboardFusion's free version is for personal use only (Pro starts at $19 per PC), and Clipdiary's business license is $29.99. If you also use a Mac, Raycast and CopyQ run on both. Disclosure: Pasta is made by Automatique, the team behind Listicle; it's rated by the same criteria as everything else. Prices checked October 5, 2026.
Best Clipboard Managers for Mac (2026)
The best clipboard managers for Mac, from free apps to the history built into macOS Tahoe, ranked on hands-on tests by Zapier, MacStories, Six Colors and others. Ordered by test wins and how many independent reviewers recommend each app, then by price, with Spotlight's built-in history included as the free baseline. Pasta has no independent reviews yet, so it ranks below the apps that do. To choose, try Tahoe's Spotlight history first (Command-Space, then Command-4). If a week of history isn't enough, Maccy is the free step up, Paste is the one to get if your clipboard should follow you to an iPhone, and Pastebot suits people who reshape text as they paste. Already use Raycast, Alfred, LaunchBar or Keyboard Maestro? Try the history it already has before buying anything. Subscription or one payment? Paste costs $29.99 a year, while PastePal ($14.99), ClipBook ($9.99) and CopyClip 2 ($7.99) are one-time buys, and of those three only PastePal syncs with an iPhone. Pastebot sits in between: $39 up front, then $19 for each further year of updates. Disclosure: Pasta is made by Automatique, the team behind Listicle; it's rated by the same criteria as everything else. Prices checked October 5, 2026.
Best AI Task Managers (2026)
The best AI task managers, where the AI does real work from planning your day to running agents on a board, picked from hands-on tests by Wirecutter, PCMag, Zapier and others. Match it to how you work. If you want AI to plan your day, Sunsama walks you through a daily plan, Reclaim fits tasks around your meetings and has a free plan, and Motion plans and reshuffles your whole calendar. If you want a fast list with a little AI, start with Todoist. Teams should try Asana first, ClickUp if they want everything in one app, or Notion if their work already lives in docs. Software teams belong in Linear. On a budget: Todoist Pro and Reclaim Starter together come to about $15 a month billed yearly and put your Todoist tasks on your calendar, less than Motion's $19 alone. Google Gemini schedules tasks into Google Calendar for free. Watch the AI add-ons: ClickUp's Brain AI costs $9 a user on top of the plan, Notion's agents need the $20 Business plan, and Motion, Asana and monday.com meter AI with credits or request limits. Ordered by wins in named hands-on tests, then by how many independent reviewers recommend each app, then by fit for individuals and small teams and by price. Disclosure: Wand is made by Automatique, the team behind Listicle; it's rated by the same criteria as everything else. Prices checked October 5, 2026.
Best AI Story Writing Apps (2026)
The best AI story writing apps, from drafting partners like Sudowrite to manuscript critics like ProWritingAid, ranked on reviews by Kindlepreneur, Reedsy, The Write Practice and others. Match the tool to the job. To draft with an AI partner, Sudowrite works out of the box, while Novelcrafter gives you more control if you bring your own AI key. To revise, ProWritingAid catches line-level problems, Fictionary checks scene structure and Marlowe sends a whole-book report. For brainstorming or notes on a full draft, a general chatbot works: Claude for prose, ChatGPT for features, Gemini for very long manuscripts. On cost: Raptor Write is free and you pay only for the AI you use, and Gemini's Plus plan is $4.99 a month. Sudowrite's Hobby plan and ProWritingAid Premium together come to about $20 a month on yearly billing. Most of these meter AI use in credits or tokens, so heavy drafting can cost more than the plan price. Ordered by how many independent reviewers tested or recommended each app, then by how well it suits writing your own fiction, then by price. Disclosure: Fable is made by Automatique, the team behind Listicle; it's rated by the same criteria as everything else. Prices checked October 5, 2026.
